what scripture does it talk about world being destroyed and not even the sea animals will survive?

I know Jesus says it and he says nothing will survive because it’s going to be a great burn. to me it sounds like this entire world is going to be destroyed and then God is going to make a new heavenly world for us.

Revelation 21:1 (NIV)

21 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.
