It kinda depends on what you are doing.
With any large hoofstock I always wear heavy boots as them stepping on your foot can cause some serious damage.
With birds sometimes gloves as spurs can be an issue.
Many also wear face masks and sheilds when cleaning to prevent dust and debris out of the lungs and eyes. Depending on what you are cleaning getting it in your lungs can cause an infection or illness.
Waring long pants and sleves can also prevent scratches to the legs/arms which could cause an infection.
Other than foot/hand/eye/mouth gear there really is not much. But again it all depends on what you are doing and if you have any prior medical issues.
