Preferably sharks or whales or dolphins.
Do something to help, conservation to save them against captivity, or marine research to research into the future benefiting generations of animals. DONT try and work and sell yourself out for an aquarium or marine park though.
I am a strong hater on animals in captivity especially marine mammals. It is unjust and just completely awful and selfish, unlike farm animals the only need for animals in captivity is to fulfill our own sick need for entertainment. When people say we need animals in captivity for training and educational Research thats bullShi*, there is no such reason as for ‘education’. Observing a dolphin/whale in captivity is like watching a human locked up in a house for their entire life. How a dolphin acts in the wild couldn’t be different to how they act in the wild. In the wild they play with sea grass and chase fish NOT bounce balls and jump through hoops, they live in groups of up to 15 other dolphins, socialising and exploring great lengths of the ocean. Not cooped up in a tiny tank with one or two other companions. The majority of captive dolphins are also caught from the wild and forced to perform through cruel training methods. A huge number of this amazing animals also die through transportation or just sheer distress, and these deaths almost always go unreported, with the theme park just buying in another animal for $1million minimum, approx one marine mammal dies in captivity every month!
There is actually one animal a tasier, which looks like a small monkey which when put in captivity they commit suicide. Strange as it may sound "In captivity, the tarsier can be so extremely distressed it may die of psychological trauma," explains Dr. Catibog-Sinha. Many tarsiers seized from the wilds and placed in captivity survive only for two to five years. Some tarsiers captured and placed in enclosures have even been reported to commit suicide by smashing their heads against objects.’
Animals are so innocent and we are killing them in such inhumane ways, we have so much to learn from them in the wild and they can bring so so so much joy when watching them in the wild, and the sad thing is soon a number of them will be extinct, the chinese Yangtze River dolphin is already sadly extinct!
It is not natural nor fair so if you can try and avoid going to zoos, circus etc
