Ok, so I’m going to be starting college really really soon and I know that I love working with exotic animals mostly big cats and I have know clue what classes to take. I need all the help I can get because I don’t want to be taken classes that I don’t need.
I’m not all that good in math.
Thanks for your time and i appreciate the advise =]
You will want to focus on zoology or animal biology majors. Some possible careers could be a fish and game officer, zoologist, wildlife researcher, and wildlife biologist. If you talk to a college guidance counselor or advisor now about your interests, he or she could help plan out your courses.
All colleges require some courses in various subject areas, such as math. Your guidance counselor will advise you what general courses you need to graduate.
I would also suggest an internship with a nearby zoo or sanctuary to gain field experience with big cats and other exotics.

Zoology and Biology Degrees can get you a zoo keeper job. You could also go for Exotic Veteranarian and help sick ones. Good Luck!

Zoology or wildlife biology would be your best bet. If the college you like doesn’t have those programs, just tell them what sort of career you want and ask if the biology department does anything related to animals or any field work (stuff outside the classroom). You’ll take a lot of science classes which will need some math, but really you’ll just need the math that is a prerequisite for the science classes you need to take (the math classes required will be different at different colleges). Some of theses links say animal behavior, but they can give you information on animal careers.
