Does anyone know of a good safari park/animal park in the area South East of London?

ie - Kent, Surrey or Sussex. I dont like places that have animals in cages or small environments, the animals need to be well cared for and happy and natural.

Howletts zoo is in Kent.

The gorillas are, you will be pleased to know, secured.

Why not try Kessingland Safari Park near Lowestoft in Suffolk? It is a good day out and has everything a family needs to be entertained all day. It's not far off the A12 A14. Good luck!

Whipsnade Wild Animal Park is the other side of London, between Aylesbury and Luton, but I used to love going there when I was a kid. The animals are in large compounds.

Longleat is great! But it's further southwest =/

If you're willing to travel then i recommend it, i can't remember much of it because it was like 5/6 years ago that i went, but i can remember driving through the monkey enclosure thing and having little monkeys climbing on our car and trying to take it apart and stuff!
