    I wonder what the …
I wonder what the folks at Lifestyle Pets have to say when people call back a couple of years later… “this 40lb cat shredded my sofa” or “I was playing with it and it bit off my finger” or “the vet doesnt want to treat it”

    My much loved sandy …
My much loved sandy cat Sam was free. He was an unwanted kitten so I gave him a home. He has loved us for the past nine years and we love him as much as any 22,000 cat. Some people have more money than sense.

    I had a cat that …
I had a cat that looked exactly like that… but I got it for free.

What’s so special about this breed of cat that I would be willing to pay $22,000?

    Paying 22 grand for …
Paying 22 grand for a cat because “they” say they are worth it? Sounds like a realtor to me.

Savannahs are much cheaper and better looking, when the folks raising the “we sell 50 a year” come to their senses and stop trying to retire in 2 years folks may come back for a look. Not worth it.

    I know the actual …
I know the actual owner of the 2 Savannahs confiscated in Holland and he lives in PA. Federal Game & Wildlife officials accompanied him to the vet’s with his serval, mother and remaining Savannah sibling at home and blood and swabs were draws and they sent the proof to Holland and it was proven to be a Savannah. I even met his remaining sibling at a show and I have a picture of it. They are F-1’s all of them.

    The cats on Animal …
The cats on Animal Planet were F-1 Savannahs. Watched the program twice. Amazing how a dog behavorist can comment on a fairly known new breed.

    Lady I strongly …
Lady I strongly suggest you buy a Savannah, an Ashera will swallow up your retirement money for nothing. All Lifestyle Pets was doing was paying people to buy F-1 Savannahs. Look for a Savannah.

    You might want to …
You might want to give more info on the Holland situation.
    thanks

    There was a …
There was a privately owned serval that was quite up there in age, his name was Hush and went to live with another caregiver because his elderly owner was placed in a Nursing Home. Hush had to be close to 20 years of age. The only reason why he got this old is because he didn’t have to deal with ZOO Stress.

    Every single feline …
Every single feline that is classified as domestic, IS from wild blood, why do you think they can revert so quickly back to being what humans have called Feral? As for the Ashera cat since the Holland “shituation” Lifestyle pet have been branded as frauds. Motzie can agree with that!

man thats messing with nature :(

  16. blkcatqueen February 19th, 2009, 12:47 am

    Further no person …
Further no person can guarantee a 25 year life-span. Savannahs are far less expensive and the Bengal with its Asian Leopard Cat ancestor (small spotted exotic cat breed found in Asia) is even less expensive.

caveat emptor (let the buyer beware and do your research on the Savannah and Bengal TICA registered cat breeds.)

  17. blkcatqueen February 19th, 2009, 12:47 am

    No domestic cat can …
No domestic cat can breed with a leopard. Any domestic hybrid including Serval is classified as a Savannah. The “asian leopard” they claim is the ancestor of the hybrid cat Bengal as is an Asian Leopard Cat. Savannah programs used and still use Bengal in their Savannah programs. The Ashera is a rip-off of the TICA recognized Savannah breed.

    $20,000 for a cat! …
$20,000 for a cat! Holy ! When I bought my cat (now dead :( ), she was only £10 (less than $20). Granted, she was a moggy from a rescue shelter, but she brought me much joy (even though she routinely used her claws on my hands).
